Eager Expectation
The ancient nation of Israel had undergone a series of evil kings, over three hundred years of foreign invaders, famines and natural disasters. They were in need of some Good News.
Enter the prophets – a ragtag group of people who were striving to listen for God’s Word and pass it on to others. They spoke about brokenness and healing; curses and blessing; but most importantly, they talked about someone that they called the Messiah. The Messiah: an anointed, savior, sent by God who would rescue the people and heal the land.
The prophets spoke. And the people waited. In this series, we’ll walk through the Minor Prophets and join with the Israelites as they eagerly expect the Messiah to enter into this world; a moment that we call Christmas.
